Colliers has advised Meridia Capital in the acquisition of a 20,000 sq m. logistics platform in Barberá del Vallés, the first ring in Barcelona and one of the best locations in the industrial and logistics market in Spain.
The platform is located in the Barberá del Vallés Industrial Park and has a built area of 20,171 sq m on a 27,872 sq m. plot. It was the headquarters of the Souto Transport delegation in the Catalan capital and is currently vacant. Meridia has acquired the asset with the aim of rehabilitating it and leasing it at a later stage.
“Barcelona continues to prove to be a pole of attraction for logistics investors. However, given the lack of finalist land, on many occasions the opportunities lie in seeking the repositioning of industries that have become obsolete. In a year in which it is expected to reach € 2,000M in logistics investment in Spain, Barcelona and its area of influence may lose opportunities due to lack of industrial land”
-Oriol Gual, I&L National Director. Colliers
“We are delighted to have advised Meridia Capital to acquire an asset in Barcelona’s top-rated and well positioned logistics market” - says Juan Ramón Ramirez, responsible for the operation at Colliers.
