The two residential properties named “Den Grønne Fatning” and “Frimærket”, developed by ELF Development, have been sold to AXA IM Alts (AXA IM), acting on behalf of its clients. Colliers assisted AXA IM as buyside advisor in both transactions.
Den Grønne Fatning (literally “the green socket”) and Frimærket (“the stamp”) are two multi-storey apartment buildings developed by well-reputed domestic property developer ELF Development. Completed for occupancy in 2018 and 2020, respectively, the properties combined comprise a lettable area of approx 24,150 sq m in total, distributed over 254 residential units and one commercial unit.
Both properties benefit from a highly attractive location in the Copenhagen suburb of Herlev, in proximity of the local high street, Herlev Bymidte, Herlev station and the future Copenhagen Light Rail.

“We are proud to have assisted AXA IM, one of the largest and most well-established international investors in Denmark. Both Den Grønne Fatning and Frimærket are attractive assets and sound additions to AXA IM’s already sizeable Danish residential portfolio. We commend ELF Development for a highly professional and balanced sales process,” says Frederik Nørr Møllebjerg, Director of Colliers Capital Markets.
The buyer is formally a fund managed by French investment manager AXA IM. AXA IM is the investment arm of global insurance group AXA, with some EUR 869 billion assets under management one of the largest investment managers in the world.
