On behalf of Falck Danmark A/S, Colliers has facilitated the sale of two prominent properties included in the Falck portfolio. The divestment represents just one of the measures to revigorate Falck and consolidate its business activities in fewer locations.
In Copenhagen, Falck-Huset was acquired by Arp-Hansen Hotel Group, earlier this week announcing plans to use the property for “something in the overnight stay industry” (see Finans.dk). The sale was structured as a share deal. The parties do not wish to disclose the sales price. Colliers was assigned with the sale in August 2018, and Falck moved to the Copenhagen district of Sydhavnen (south harbour) in November 2018.
In Aarhus, Falck-Gården was acquired by A.. Enggaard A/S. Falck-Gården is situated at Trindsøvej, outside the ring road (Ringgaden) in a former commercial area now being redeveloped for residential use. So far, no local plan has been drawn up for the area in question, but the City of Aarhus is expected to approve residential construction in the location.
Colliers initiated the sales process in Aarhus in September 2018. The sale of the property was structured as a share deal following a closed bidding process. The sales price is confidential. Falck remains in the property as tenant but plans to relocate within the next couple of years.
