Colliers International’s Norfolk office has announced that Donald Crigger, CCIM, executive vice president, and George (Hank) Hankins, senior vice president, have been named new principals, making them part owners of the commercial real estate firm.
The Colliers local partnership team was established when the firm announced its affiliation with the leading international commercial real estate company in December 2019. Currently, the other Norfolk office shareholders include J. Scott Adams, CCIM; Julie Alexander, CPM, RPA; Frederick Anderson, Persifor (Perry) Frazer, Christopher Kieran, Patrick Mugler, Gray Randolph, SIOR; Chris Read, Tom Robinson, Anthony Smith and Lang Williams, SIOR.

Crigger has been in commercial real estate since 1987 and is widely recognized as one of the top brokers in the Hampton Roads market. He specializes in office and medical office brokerage, representing both landlords and tenants in addition to buyers and sellers. Among his prestigious landlord assignments have been World Trade Center, Sabre Corporate Park @ Lynnhaven, The Concourse @ Northampton, Twin Oaks I & II and Innovation Research Park @ ODU.
Throughout his career, Crigger has been actively involved with numerous civic organizations and has served as board chair for Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads, and currently serves on the executive committee for Virginia Beach Vision, as well as the board of directors for People in Need Ministry and Norfolk Christian Schools.
Hankins specializes in multifamily property sales. He is an integral part of Mid-Atlantic Multifamily Advisory Group that oversees the underwriting, marketing and sales process for multifamily properties and promotes Colliers' platform in the Southeast / Mid-Atlantic.
During his career, Hankins has been involved in more than $1 billion in multifamily sales. In addition to dispositions, Hankins has also held the role as a principal for Croatan Investments, leading its acquisitions team as it closed $125 million in multifamily property transactions in Virginia over a two-year period.
