David Garnett

David has more than nine years of commercial real estate experience in Huntsville and specializes in representing landlords and tenants in the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of retail properties. He is also focused on potential retail developments in Alabama. 

David is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. Prior to joining Colliers, David worked for Graham & Company where he served as a retail leasing and sales agent and helped lead the retail team. During his time at Colliers, David has represented multiple retail clients in securing new retail locations across the Southeast.  Along with leading the redevelopment of North Madison Corners, he leased the vacant grocery anchor to The Fresh Market, which subsequently was filled by Michael’s and Marshalls.  Most recently, David has helped a client locate and purchase two sites for new Publix developments (The Shops at Redstone Square and The Market at Hays Farm).  David and the Colliers team lead the development of Friendship Commons, a 30+ acre mixed-use development on Winchester Road. 

David currently serves on the board of Christmas Charities Year Round and the Huntsville International League of Sports. Recently, he served as a member of the UA Huntsville Alumni Board, the Huntsville Madison County Auburn Club and is the Pope John Paul II Assistant Baseball Coach.
