Automotive & Roadside

John has worked within this niche sector for many years and has been a member of the Colliers International Automotive and Roadside Team for over 15 years. His specialist areas of expertise include motor dealerships, car supermarkets, after sales retail networks including motorist centres, trade counter, drive thru' and roadside retail properties.

He acts on behalf of some of the lead investors, developers and occupiers within these sectors dealing with professional, agency, development and investment matters. His clients include, Arnold Clark, Volkswagen Group, Johnsons Cars, AEW, EG Group, CBRE Investors, Formula One Autocentres and Listers Group.

Anthony Keohane has 20 years experience in this specialist sector. He is client director for Toyota (GB) Plc as well as acting for other manufacturers and dealer groups. Anthony has extensive experience in the petrol market and is retained by Sainsbury's supermarkets on their expansion programme. He leads the London team and  advises many of the high street banks and private equity houses and  in respect of their structured debt and mortgage finance.

Nick is an Associate Director within the Automotive and Roadside Department, specialising in professional work. He undertakes Red Book valuations for a range of lenders, occupiers and investors for a range of purposes including loan security, accounts and for internal purposes.  Nick acts on behalf of many landlords and tenants in respect of rent reviews, lease renewals and lease regears. He is regularly asked to carry out negotiations in respect of lease events, and also undertakes 3rd party work.  His expertise covers a range of property types within the sector including vehicle dealerships, petrol filling stations and tyre and exhaust centres. He is based out of the Birmingham Office but deals with property nationwide for clients. 

I have worked in the Automotive and Roadside sector since 1988, acting primarliy for occupiers, but also landlords and landowners, specialising in acquisitions, disposals and roadside property development.  I have recently joined Colliers-International Automotive and Roadside team, having previously been a Partner  Rapleys.  

I have been working with international, national, regional and local clients within the Automotive sector since the late 1980’s with a particular focus on understanding the client’s business and how real estate forms part of it.

I have worked within the Birmingham, London and Bristol offices of Colliers and as a result have a broad geographical knowledge and client base. My experience includes agency, valuation and professional work in addition to expert witness. Most recently I have been involved in a number of EMEA assignments where I have been keen to apply industry knowledge to local practice and legal background.

I began working for Colliers International in January 2019 and joined the Automotive and Roadside Team.

Prior to this I worked for Pendragon PLC in the Estates team as a Graduate Surveyor which I started after University. Here I gained valuable experience in the Automotive sector and built up an understanding of the market and the requirements of an automotive retailer. In November 2017 I became a Chartered Surveyor and following that I began a new role is the Asset Management team at NHS Property Services. I spent around a year there assisting in the management of a varied portfolio around the West Midlands.
