Colliers Facilitates Multiple Transactions Valued Over $5.8 Million

Richmond, Va – January 29, 2021 – Colliers International Virginia, LLC has announced it has successfully secured five new deals and eight renewals, two of which were expansions.  The transactions combined for a total of 105,203 square feet and are valued at $5,855,809.00

The new deals included:

  • Infinity Payment Systems LLC signed a 1,500 square foot office lease at 4196-A Innslake Drive in Glen Allen.  Rebecca Barricklow and Catherine Walker represented the landlord
  • Padow’s Ham and Deli leased 2,100 square feet of retail space at 9720 Midlothian Turnpike in Midlothian.  Peter Vick, Harrison Hall, and Maddy Spear represented the landlord
  • Kinghood International Logistics Inc signed a new 54,000 industrial lease at 1199 International Parkway in Fredericksburg.  Rich McDaniel, Lee Cherwek, and Samantha Jones represented the landlord
  • Hamilton Shaheen, Peter Vick, Harrison Hall, and David Wilkins facilitated two new retail leases on behalf of Lumber Liquidators:
    • 2,013 square feet at 8366 Westheimer Road in Houston, Tx
    • 6,467 square feet at 209 S Royal Oaks Boulevard in Franklin, Tn

The renewals consisted of:

  • Canella & O’Neal PC renewed its 4,869 square foot office lease at 1111 E. Main Street.  Malcolm Randolph and Jimmy Martin represented the landlord
  • Mr. Sandless of Richmond renewed its 854 square foot office lease at 7921 W Broad Street in Henrico.  Barry Hofheimer represented the landlord
  • Jimmy Martin, John Carpin, Malcolm Randolph, and Matt Anderson facilitated two renewals, on behalf of the landlord of each property:
    • Koenig Bakery Systems renewed its 8,072 square foot office lease at 340 Hill Carter Parkway in Ashland
    • Valcourt Building Services of Virginia LC renewed its 2,787 square foot office lease at 7423 Whitepine Road

Working with numerous local and national retailers, Peter has been involved in the leasing of over three million square feet of commercial space and the disposition/acquisition of over $300M in sales.

Peter is responsible for the leasing of a portfolio consisting of four million square feet of retail space throughout Virginia for clients that include, Sauers Properties, Site Centers, Markel Eagle, Rebkee Properties, Gumenick Properties, Blackwood Development, Spy Rock Real Estate Group, Sugar Oak Properties, Riverstone Properties, Colterra Capital, Pruitt Companies, Frontier Development, W.S. Carnes, Premier Companies and numerous other local, Regional and National Landlords and Developers. Additionally, Peter is part of the Colliers team that overseas the National retail expansion of LL Flooring (Lumber Liquidators).  

Prior to joining Colliers, Peter was Senior Vice President of Retail Sales and Leasing at Divaris Real Estate in Richmond, VA. Before that, Peter began his real estate career in 2008 with The Wilton Companies in their third-party brokerage department. In 2010, he joined NAI Eagle as a founding partner and principal.

Harrison Hall

Harrison is currently responsible for leasing of a portfolio consisting of over four million square feet of retail space throughout Virginia. A sample list of transactions completed include Bloomin’ Brands, Diamonds Direct, Golfsmith, Lidl, Crunch Fitness, Verizon, TitleMax, Burger King, McDonald’s, Rite Aid, Mellow Mushroom, Richmond Restaurant Group, EAT Restaurant Partners, Starbucks, Xfinity, Kona Grill, Cook Out, Zaxby’s, Bon Secours, Best Buy, Hand and Stone, Venture X, Michaels, VA ABC and First Watch.

He has also worked on both the acquisition and disposition side of numerous investment sale transactions varying from grocery-anchored retail centers to single-tenant, NNN properties. Harrison has been involved in the leasing of over four million square feet of commercial space and the disposition/acquisition of over $400M in sales.

Madison Spear

Maddy Spear joined the Retail Leasing and Sales Team as an Associate, following her graduation from the University of Mary Washington with degrees in Business Administration and English. In the Summer of 2017, Maddy interned with the firm and through this experience she was able to partner with all service lines within the Hampton Roads office. Currently, Maddy travels between Richmond and Hampton Roads and is very familiar with both markets.

In 2019, Maddy and another associate leased 15 spaces in two months at Lynnhaven North, a 173,191 square foot center in Virginia Beach. They back filled 2 box spaces (totaling over 68,000 square feet) that has been vacant for 1 and 3 years respectively.

Barry HofheimerSr

Since 1981, Barry Hofheimer has been actively engaged in the commercial real estate field. He has a wide range of experience including investment sales, office and retail leasing, and land development. Barry is now semi-retired but does partner with the appropriate active broker on certain lease and sale transactions. In addition, his experience includes many lease transactions, work on behalf of major companies relocating to the Richmond area, corporate headquarter site selection, retail prototype site selection, land development for residential communities and neighborhood retail.  Barry and two partners joined the firm in 2001 upon closing their boutique commercial firm, Virginia Landmark Corporation. 
Prior to entering the commercial real estate field, Barry was Vice President of Jefferson Manufacturing Company, a menswear manufacturing company.  Barry coordinated the manufacturing end of the business scheduling the production and shipping of 500,000 pairs of men’s slacks and 150,000 coats annually.

John Carpin

John Carpin has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with his primary responsibilities including landlord representation of industrial and office/medical properties for both institutional and local owners. In addition, he is involved with tenant representation for both national and local clients. In these capacities, John has represented landlords and tenants in the identification, acquisition and disposition of commercial assets. Since 1996, John has completed over 850 transactions totaling over $276 million in value and has been involved in over 10 million square feet of leasing transactions, while handling a portfolio of over 2.5 million square feet of office/medical and industrial properties.
