Spartanburg, SC – January 23, 2020 - Marlboro Development Team, Inc. (MDT) is pleased to announce the commencement of a long-term lease for a 40,000 square foot manufacturing facility with Symmetrix Composite Tooling (Symmetrix). The facility, located at 860 Connor Street in Statesville, NC, was acquired and rehabilitated by MDT prior to occupancy by Symmetrix.
Symmetrix, headquartered in Bristol, RI, will utilize the location for the machining and fabrication of composite molds, patterns, and plugs for various clients throughout the industries of alternative energy, marine, aerospace, transportation, and art & architecture. The facility was identified by Symmetrix and their brokerage representatives at Colliers International due to its significant manufacturing infrastructure, modern facility attributes, and strategic location near I-77 & I-40.

Symmetrix had a very unique real estate requirement and Colliers was able to find a building for sale only. In partnering with MDT, together we were able to construct a situation where Symmetrix was able to achieve their short-term goals of getting into the “right” building quickly with enough room in the building for immediate expansion.
