About Me
Michael Stone is an Executive Vice President in Colliers International’s New York City Retail group. He focuses on tenant and owner representation in Manhattan, the outer boroughs and the Tri-State suburban markets, though he has completed strategic assignments in locations across the country. He joined Colliers in 2017 as a critical asset in the firm’s expansion of its regional retail platform.
Mr. Stone has nearly two decades of experience serving the commercial real estate needs of retail sector clients. National and international clients he has worked with include GoHealth Urgent Care, Citibank, JPMorgan Chase, and Verizon. Mr. Stone has represented properties for major owners, investors and developers such as New York University, UDR, the Lefrak Organization, SJP Properties, the Durst Organization, LCOR, Spear Street, Onyx Equities, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and the City University of New York.
Some of Mr. Stone’s most notable accomplishments include the completion of more than 200 transactions as part of his ongoing representation of GoHealth Urgent Care in its nationwide expansion.

Mr. Stone joined Colliers in 2017 after nearly 12 years in Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail Services Group. As one of the group’s leaders, he focused on both serving clients and growing the firm’s retail coverage across the Tri-State area and beyond. He also led a team that sought to capture opportunities in the evolving Lower Manhattan market.
Before Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Stone was a vice president in Insignia/ESG CBRE’s Retail Group and an associate director at Robert K. Futterman & Associates.
Mr. Stone earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Fordham University and a J.D. from Touro College’s Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Real Estate Board of New York.
Mr. Stone has been admitted to practice law in the State Courts of New York and New Jersey, as well as the Federal Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.
