J. Ronald Hickman, Jr.

J serves landlords, investors, and tenants in leasing and sales transactions. With an engineering background and experience in small business, J. understands the practicality of making a business profitable, and he has an appreciation for details. As a developer's in-house agent, J. learned the real estate business from conception to completion. He brings this unique background to bear with his understanding of what it takes to make a deal come together that is a win for both sides.

J. has seven years experience working in the industrial discipline of commercial real estate. J. spent two years with Weston Companies, a long-time local developer, in their office/industrial leasing division before joining Colliers in the Summer of 2006. As a commercial real estate agent, J. has worked in all facets of the industrial market. He has managed and leased all types of industrial property including flex, metal buildings and large industrial warehouses. He has also served many types of customers from institutional owners to local, regional, and national tenants in relocations in the Memphis region. Before transitioning into commercial real estate, J. worked for eight years in the specialty construction field of cranes and rigging. As a civil engineering graduate of Auburn University, J. gained experience in design engineering, project management and the sales of heavy rigging and transportation projects across the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest United States. He focused most of his time serving customers in the power generation market including Siemens Westinghouse, Fluor Daniel, The Washington Group, and General Electric.
