Dan joined Colliers International Tampa Bay Florida in 2018 as a founding partner and Director of the Leisure Property Advisors. Dan specializes in marina and leisure property investment sales across the United States and regularly assists clients with the disposition and acquisition of leisure driven real estate assets. As part of the Leisure Property Advisors strategic asset advisory program, Mr. Grovatt also routinely provides clients with strategic asset analyses and investment planning throughout their investment cycle.
Dan began his career in investment real estate in 2015 with Marcus & Millichap following a professional baseball career with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dan worked closely with Matt Putnam and Andrew Cantor in the launching and building of the marina division there. In 2018, Dan and his team transitioned to Colliers where they founded the Colliers Leisure Property Practice Group which has grown into an industry leader. Mr. Grovatt has been involved in over 60 leisure asset sales and underwritten well over $1 Billion in leisure assets. In 2021, he also received the Marina Dockage Young Leader Award which recognizes professionals under the age of 40 that have made significant contributions to the marina industry.

Education
Dan is a 2013 graduate of the University of Virginia. While at Virginia, he was a Freshman All-American and 1st team All-ACC member of the Cavaliers’ ACC champion and College World Series team. Mr. Grovatt was also recognized for his efforts in the classroom, including two All-ACC academic team selections and perennial honor roll selections.
Dan has held an active real estate license in Florida since 2014.
