A German closed-end fund has sold the La Defense office building in Almere to a listed real estate investor. The building at the W. Dreesweg 16 is conveniently located in Almere-Stad near the Almere Centrum railway station.
La Defense, known for its characteristic shapes and colorful facades, is a development from 2005 after a design by UN Studios. The office complex consists of two building parts with a total surface area of 20,000 sqm LFA and a parking garage with 300 parking spaces.
The sold building section consists of 6 floors with a lettable floor area of approximately 12,000 sqm LFA and 185 parking spaces and has been fully let to the Dutch Employee Insurance Agency (UWV) since completion. The other building section is approximately 8,000 sqm in size and is owned by the Dutch government and is in use by the tax authorities.
Real estate advisor Colliers International advised the seller commercially in this transaction, Source Law provided legal advice. The buyer was advised by DRS (commercial), Osborne Clarke (legal) and Amstelius (technical).
