Riley is in our Mortgage Finance Group where he is focused on originating creative and competitive funding options and debt advisory for Colliers clients. Riley focuses on the BC market but has experience across the country and all asset classes. He has experience with a wide range of client/borrower types including private investors, developers, owner occupiers, institutions, hospitality, REIT’s and foreign investors. As importantly, Riley has considerable experience and credibility amongst the many suppliers of debt and equity capital including banks, credit unions, conduit lenders, life insurance companies, pension funds, international lenders and the many private sources of capital as well.
Prior to joining Colliers, Riley was a capital markets specialist with a major Canadian real estate brokerage and worked closely with the firms many advisors as well as its national investment team. In this capacity, he facilitated cash flow based term loans, CMHC-insured loans, interim/construction loans, repositioning loans, unsold inventory loans as well as financing for specialized properties such as hotels, resorts, retirement homes and for the restructuring of distressed properties.
