The strongest investor demand is expected to continue for core properties: income generating properties with high occupancy, prominent tenants and long-term leases.

The COVID-19 pandemic and related containment measures have strongly affected Slovenia's  economy, leading to a year-on-year contraction in GDP and all main macroeconomic indicators. The investment transaction volume of commercial real estate in H1 2020 decreased amid pandemic uncertainties and travel restrictions, which disabled investors to perform property inspections. Total CRE investment volume in H1 2020 was 60% less than in the same period 2019. The office sector was looking positive at the start of 2020, and the market should be able to ride out a short, sharp shock or even a longer economic downturn. New developments are announced in all CRE sectors. As the currently least developed sector, the industrial/ logistics sector is expected to see an increase in developments in the coming years. With proven resilience and rising demand, it could become the big winner of the COVID-19 crises.

Ivan se je Colliersu pridružil junija 2018 kot svetovalec v oddelku za naložbe, vrednotenje in svetovanje. Trenutno dela kot višji svetovalec v oddelku za ocenjevanje in svetovanje, kjer njegove glavne naloge vključujejo vrednotenje nepremičnin (hoteli, pisarne, maloprodaja, industrijske in stanovanjske nepremičnine in sektor zemljišč), finančno modeliranje in analize, tržne raziskave, priprava različnih poročil in študij) in ocene portfelja slabih posojil.

Poleg VAS Ivan dela v oddelku za kapitalski trg/prodajo naložb, kjer sodeluje pri svetovanju strankam (na nakupni ali prodajni strani) pri investicijskih poslih v poslovnih nepremičninah in zazidljivih zemljiščih. Njegove naloge so raziskave trga, priprava marketinških materialov (brošur in memorandumov), analiza naložb in denarnih tokov ter komunikacija s strankami in investitorji.

Preden se je pridružil Colliersu in med študijem je Ivan delal v finančni industriji. Ivan je magistriral iz ekonomije na Ekonomski fakulteti v Zagrebu. Prejel je tudi certifikat "Analitik za finančno modeliranje in vrednotenje" na Inštitutu za korporativne finance. Ivan je opravil izpit CFA Level I in je kandidat za stopnjo II.
