Fernando Araiza

Joined Colliers International in November 2011 as Managing Director for our Miami based Latin America Corporate Services Division.  Fernando came to Colliers from Nortel Networks Corporate Real Estate, where he acted as Director of Corporate Real Estate Operations for Latin America and the Caribbean (CALA) since 1994.  In his role at Nortel, Fernando was responsible for all Real Estate Operations that included; asset management, project management, facility and property management. With a diverse Real Estate portfolio in excess of 1,000,000 sqft with presence in most of the Latin American counties, this included office, industrial, and manufacturing facilities.  In his years at this role, Fernando managed multiple cycles of accelerated growth as well as downsizing.

Hands-on experience and skills of understanding business, cultural and real estate practices throughout the Latin American Region, as well as an added and experience gained skill of effective knowledge of acting as a liaison for multinational companies and their cultural practices and the Latin America business and cultural practices. He has over 22 years experience in Corporate Real Estate and over 18 years in the International Corporate Real Estate arena. Fernando led Nortel in an industry acknowledged task of a major divestiture of his managed portfolio in adverse circumstances and record time.

Fernando, with his engineering background, and his multidisciplinary experience, is very well positioned for our Integrated Services offerings and implementation trough the Latin America Region, which include Transactions, Project Management, Property and Facility Management, also known as Integrated Client Services, And he possesses the invaluable knowledge and understanding of integrally managing corporate accounts/clients.
