Mr. Cizik has been involved in the construction, development, financing and brokerage of real estate for over thirty years; specializing since 1997 in office tenant representation and income property sales. With Colliers for more than 22 years, Mr. Cizik is both a Principal and Director, and has served multiple terms on the firm’s Governance Committee.
Prior to Colliers, Mr. Cizik was Vice President of Development for The Koll Company located in Newport Beach, CA (now KBS Realty Advisors), where he was responsible for the development and management of major multi-use commercial, residential and golf course projects. During the 1980’s, Mr. Cizik served as Vice President of Commonwealth Mortgage and later became the owner of a residential and commercial construction company.
Edward Edson is an office leasing broker responsible for providing advisory and transaction services to emerging and mid-sized companies, as well as large corporate clients on a local, national and international level. Since joining Colliers 18 years ago, he has focused on consulting with office tenants and developing innovative strategies for his clients in investment sales. Edward’s diverse experience includes relocation, renewal, expansion, and disposition projects; most recently liquidating 12 properties in eight states and two countries for $96 million. He is a committed advisor helping clients make real estate decisions that are aligned with their strategic, financial, and operational objectives.
Edward joined Colliers after his career with Hines Interests. While with Hines, Edward represented the owners of Bank of America Center’s 1.3 million SF and assisted with the nearly 2 million SF within One and Two Shell Plaza. Prior to his leasing assignments, Edward was responsible for property management within Hines’ 1100 Louisiana building’s 1.3 million SF and BMC’s state-of-the-art 1.5 million SF campus located in Houston’s Westchase market.
Chris Winters joined Colliers in 1998. His career encompasses the disciplines of real estate investment, finance, management, and development. Chris has successfully closed more than $750 Million in transactions and leased more than 1.4 million square feet of space.
Prior to joining Colliers, Chris was Senior Vice President of NAB Asset Ventures. This firm was a pioneer in recognizing opportunities in the acquisition of distressed commercial real estate and mortgages. His responsibilities included the acquisition, enhancement and disposition of the firm’s real estate investments. Chris began his career with The Murphree Company, a national real estate developer based in Houston. From there he joined Texas Commerce Bank – Houston (now JP Morgan Chase) handling the management and disposition of the banks distressed commercial real estate assets (REO).
In 2012, 2013, and 2018, Chris was a Colliers' Everest Award recipient. This award, created in 2011, is bestowed upon the top 10% of all Colliers professionals in brokerage, valuation and corporate solutions across the U.S. business based on revenue production.
Mr. Gowell joined Colliers in 2015 as a Senior Associate in the Office Tenant Representation Group, where he focuses on business development, lease negotiations and transaction management. He began his career with Axis Tenant Advisors, and then joined CBRE representing office tenants across a wide variety of industries in their space acquisitions and dispositions throughout Houston.
Leveraging his experience, Darren successfully negotiates for his clients in all phases of the office leasing process. He was chosen for his people skills, industry experience, market knowledge, and exceptional ability to bring the right opportunities to our clients.
Jordan Trout serves as a Senior Associate with the Colliers Houston Occupier Advisory Group, specializing in tenant representation and corporate occupier advisory services. With over 5 years of industry experience, Jordan has closed in excess of 100 transactions totaling over $90,000,000 in volume. Mr. Trout’s client-base ranges from emerging and mid-sized companies to several corporate accounts, spanning across both office and industrial sectors on a local and national footprint.
Mr. Trout’s diverse experience has made him well-versed in advising clients on a variety of levels including but not limited to: renewals, relocations, expansions, site evaluations, both design-build and built-to-suit opportunities, sublease dispositions, site dispositions, and sale-leasebacks.
Jordan prides himself in maintaining a thorough approach with all his clients, emphasizing transparency and attention-to-detail regardless of the requirement. Mr. Trout prioritizes a client-first mentality, consistently taking measures to ensure his clients are well-informed and provided multiple solutions regarding their real estate requirements. As such, he has successfully developed a reputation by delivering on expectations, and most importantly, establishing client relationships that outlive the transaction.
Prior to joining Colliers, Jordan graduated from Texas Tech University with a BBA in Finance with a Real Estate Concentration and a minor in Construction Engineering. Jordan is a proud Houston native and remains actively involved with Strake Jesuit’s Alumni Association and TTAA – Houston Chapter.
Jordan also remains actively involved with the Rawls College of Business, currently serving on the Recent Alumni Board within the Real Estate Advisory Council.
Zack Taylor joined Colliers | Houston in March 2021. Zack specializes in the sale and leasing of industrial real estate with a particular focus in southeast Houston and other markets along the Gulf Coast. He has experience working with local, national, and international clients on their various real estate needs including site selection, tenant representation, building acquisitions/dispositions and build-to-suit projects. Zack’s analytical approach to real estate allows him to successfully evaluate and execute a broad range of complex transactions.
Zack has nine years of experience in commercial real estate acting as a trusted advisor. Zack has worked with industrial users, developers, and investors on a variety of transactions totaling more than 3 million square feet of lease/sale transactions and hundreds of acres of land totaling more than $200 million in transaction volume.
Zack is a native Houstonian and enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife, Alexandra, and two boys, Owen and Benjamin.
Pat is the managing director of brokerage services in Houston for Colliers. Pat has more than 37 years of experience in commercial real estate as a producing broker, educator, sales manager and managing broker. Pat relocated to Houston from Florida where he served as President of the Colliers offices in Tampa Bay, Orlando and Southwest Florida.
​Pat started his career as Director of Marketing for a real estate data base company where he spent three years interviewing top brokerage houses throughout the United States and assisted in their automation needs as a consultant and instructor. As President of the Colliers Houston office, he has direct responsibility for recruiting, training and managing the sales and leasing teams, property management and business plan creation and coordination for the company.
Pat was responsible for building and organizing retail service delivery capabilities for Colliers worldwide as chairman of the Colliers Retail Specialty Group (96-2000, 2002-2013). Pat is also a founding member of the Colliers Oil and Gas practice group. Among his academic accomplishments, Pat wrote the capstone case study for the CCIM program's final course offering from 1986 - 1998. The case study combined the marketing and financial concepts taught by CCIM to allow the students to apply the material to a simulated commercial property disposition.
He has been an instructor for NACORE’s (now CORENET) Intermediate Finance Course and was awarded the Top-Rated Faculty Certificate in 2000. Pat has been quoted in national and regional publications including the Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones, Newsweek, Real Estate Forum, National Real Estate Investor, Globe Street and others. He has been an expert panelist for NAIOP, Real Share, ICSC and many other real estate organizations.
Pat has served as a member (and Chairman) of the Colliers Managers Steering committee, the Board of Directors for Colliers USA and is the past Chairman of the Colliers USA Board of Advisors. In 2003, Pat was awarded Colliers Manager of the Year. In 2004, he was chosen by Colliers as the Tom Richardson Award recipient, an honor based on strength of character. In 2012, Pat was chosen as the recipient of the Colliers USA Pinnacle Award for service excellence. Pat is the only person in Colliers to win all three of these awards. He served as an instructor for Colliers University 2010-14. In 2017 Pat was recognized as a “Best Boss” by Real Estate Forum magazine.
Ray Lopez joined Colliers in late 2021 as Vice President with the Occupier Advisory team in the Houston office. Ray specializes in occupier representation focusing exclusively on advising occupiers on their lease negotiations, renewals, expansions, subleases, relocations, property acquisitions and dispositions.
Ray is an accomplished commercial real estate advisor with nearly two decades of real estate experience, ranging from comprehensive real estate strategies for occupiers to managing large commercial real estate portfolios to being a leasing director tasked with increasing the occupancy of an office portfolio. One of Ray’s defining qualities is his integrity and passion to make a real difference for his clients.
Ray’s clients range from local independently owned regional companies to global corporations with a local, national and international presence. His experience in all phases of a transaction gives Ray the ability to confidently guide his clients to the best decision.
