Karen has over twenty years of experience in the hotel industry and holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Australian Graduate School of Management. She brings with her a specialised knowledge of the Asia Pacific hotel investment market and an ability to drive fresh capital into Australia’s hotel markets. She has developed an exceptional network over the past two years across Asia and the Middle East and within government, in her capacity as Senior Investment Specialist Tourism Infrastructure at Austrade and her knowledge of new entrants into the growing Australian tourism sector is second to none.
Neil re-joined Colliers in 2023 as National Director of Hotel Asset Management.
Neil oversees Hotel Asset Management to ensure owner investment is maximised via operating performance and capital value of the property, while at the same time ensuring the physical condition of the hotel asset is maintained.
Neil currently oversees a portfolio of 8 hotels across Australia, spanning different hotel operating companies. This provides him with great insight into best practices around the region, as well as a broad context for trends occurring across the Australia Pacific industry.
Prior to joining Colliers, Neil was General Manager for Accor Hotels. His experience in the hotel and resort industry spans over 20 years where he has had exposure to all facets of the industry including property operations, sales and marketing, asset management and owner relations.
In his time at Accor, Neil has held several senior operational roles, such as Regional General Manager of New Zealand and Fiji, Regional General Manager of Queensland and he successfully headed Accor’s Pacific Franchise department.
Neil has also previously held the role of Board Member of Queensland Tourism Industry Council, Board Member of the New Zealand Hotel Council and Tourism Advisory Board Member of the Property Council of Australia.
Jackie joined Colliers International in January 2018, after completing his Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours in Finance at the University of Auckland and has since completed his Master’s degree. Jackie’s background in finance provides a strong foundation for specialisation in the hotel industry.
Jackie’s primary responsibilities include assisting Dean Humphries with client management and investment analysis during various divestment and advisory assignments. In addition, Jackie is fluent in Mandarin which enables the Colliers International New Zealand Hotel Division to effectively communicate with Chinese and other Asian clients and investors.
