Chris Hutcheson joins Colliers in Houston as Senior Vice President in the land advisory group. He specializes in land tracts for single-family, multifamily, retail and industrial developments.
He brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience in the land advisory sector, with expertise in acquisition and disposition of land to investors, developers and end-users.
Together with James Kadlick, he has negotiated more than 30,000 acres of land valued at more than $1 billion in real estate transactions over the last 17 years.
Chris’ local market expertise and dedication to his clients’ best interests have helped earn him many long-lasting relationships with individuals and companies who rely on his advice to help make informative real estate decisions.
Chris is a seventh-generation Houstonian who graduated from Episcopal High School. He then attended The University of Texas at Austin graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Government.
Prior to joining Colliers, Chris spent 18 years with Rockspring Properties (formerly McAlister Real Estate) where he served as Vice President. Before Rockspring, he worked as an associate with InSite Realty in their corporate services division.
James Kadlick joins Colliers in Houston as a Senior Vice President in the land advisory team. He specializes in land tracts for single family, multifamily, retail and industrial developments.
James brings more than 20 years of experience in the industry and will focus on land brokerage in the Houston marketplace.

James is a third-generation Houstonian who graduated from Episcopal High School. He graduated from Texas Tech University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems.
Prior to joining the Colliers, James was a Vice President at Rockspring Properties, previously McAlister Real Estate, a real estate brokerage and investment firm located in Houston.
Harrison Kane joins Colliers Houston as a Senior Vice President. He represents his clients on both the acquisition and sale sides of transactions.
He focuses on land tracts (urban or suburban) for single family, multifamily, retail and industrial development. He oversees all aspects of the transaction process for his clients.
Harrison works with and represents landowners throughout the greater Houston area and helps them create a competitive bidding situation in order to maximize the value and shorten the timeline of each transaction. He also works on investment sales in the transitioning submarkets of Houston where there is great redevelopment potential.
Harrison is a sixth-generation Houstonian who graduated from Episcopal High School. He then went on to the University of Georgia where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. Harrison holds his Real Estate Broker’s License in the State of Texas. Prior to Colliers, he worked for McAlister Real Estate and Rockspring Properties focusing on land transactions.
Walter Menuet has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate in Houston and the surrounding areas. Walter focuses primarily on industrial real estate sale and lease transactions involving warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and land.
Walter is a 25-year veteran of the Vantage Companies, a Dallas based developer of commercial real estate. During this time, Vantage developed more than 10 million square feet of industrial properties in Houston, on which Walter served as the in-house leasing and sales broker.
Walter’s primary responsibilities at Vantage were leasing and disposition of Vantage developments as well as a portfolio of third party owned properties in the Houston area. Notable third party landlord clients included DCT Industrial, Principal, Mountain West Industrial Properties, The Carson Companies, DDR, The Meritex Companies, Core Real Estate, CMC Commercial Realty Group and American Industrial Properties. During his tenure with Vantage, Walter closed more than 500 transactions in approximately 10 million square feet of space with total transaction values of approximately $300 million.
Walter made the move to Colliers | Houston in 2012 and has continued as an Industrial Specialist serving the needs of landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers. Notable clients served in seven years with Colliers include Liberty Property Trust, Prologis, Crow Holdings, Inc., Mountain West Industrial Properties, The Meritex Companies, Industry Capital, Berkeley Capital, CUNA Mutual, ML Realty Partners, and The Fort Worth Foundation.
In seven years at Colliers, Walter has closed more than 7 million square feet of transactions with an aggregate value of more than $200 million.
Walter has won the CoStar Power Broker award numerous times for leasing transaction volume and has been named an industrial brokerage Heavy Hitter by the Houston Business Journal. In 2017, Walter was on the landlord team for the NAIOP Industrial Deal of the Year and was named to Colliers’ Everest Club as a national top 10% producer.
Jim Pratt has more than 35 years’ experience in commercial real estate. Prior to joining Colliers in 2009, he was a Principal with NAI Houston. In addition to representing tenants, buyers and sellers of real estate, Jim has represented many institutional and private owners in the leasing of office and industrial properties and has developed an in-depth understanding of the dynamics involved and what makes a deal work for both tenants and landlords. He is known for his significant creativity in the structuring of unique solutions for complex assignments, resulting in “win-win” transactions. His analytical skills and his ability to communicate the pertinent facts throughout the negotiation process have produced significant results.
Jim has represented tenants and owners ranging from local entrepreneurs to large corporations in transactions in Houston and throughout North America, completing more than 100 assignments outside of Texas. He has handled all types of industrial and land requirements in addition to offices leases, and the acquisition and disposition of all types of real estate. In the last economic downturn, Jim helped structure sale/leasebacks providing significant liquidity for one of his clients. Jim is currently assisting clients with the evaluation and implementation of this same strategy, as well as lease restructuring where applicable.
Prior to entering commercial real estate in 1985, Jim served as a project manager on several multi-million dollar commercial construction projects for W.S. Bellows Construction Corporation. His educational background in architecture has also proven invaluable in assisting landlords and tenants in the evaluation process involved in site selection.
Judy has more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience as a member of the Industrial and Land Group for Colliers | Houston. Her focus is on industrial tenant and buyer representation, land sales, landlord representation, site selection, and sale leasebacks. She has represented a range of companies including manufacturing, heavy equipment, logistics, local developers, and retailers. Judy also leverages her bilingual skills to facilitate companies from Latin America with site selection in the Greater Houston area and within the United States.
Throughout her career at Colliers, she has also worked in the investment, retail, and office divisions.
Judy earned both the Commercial Property Marketing Certification (CPMC) and Commercial Property Research Certification (CPRC) from Colliers University. CPMC and CPRC are the first and only accreditations for commercial real estate marketing and research professionals. It offers a professional development path to increase strategic and tactical expertise in marketing/research, knowledge of the industry and capabilities with commercial real estate tools.
Prior to joining Colliers in 2005, Judy worked for Shell Oil Company and El Paso in their patent law and land administration departments, respectively.
Mr. Beauchamp joined Colliers in July 2006, as an Associate specializing in Industrial and Land transactions. Brad focuses his attention on tenant representation, acquisitions and dispositions for industrial clients. His specific focus is the far East Houston Submarket and Port, as well as the Colliers Multi-Modal Service Group. Prior to joining Colliers, Brad received a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South College of Law in Houston, Texas. Brad worked for a local Houston law firm, Tribble, Ross, and Wagner where he received extensive training in reviewing and negotiating contracts for the insurance industry. This skill set has carried over to help Brad serve his clients in real estate transactions.
Christopher S. Klein commenced his commercial real estate career in 1982, when he began working for Robert S. Wilson Investments, a medium sized developer.
Within a year, Mr. Klein was asked to join Wilson & Wilson, a development company formed by a departing principal of Robert S. Wilson Investments. He served as Project Manager for the development of five shopping centers totaling more than 410,000 sq. ft. and two office buildings totaling 100,000 sq. ft.
In 1985, Mr. Klein became Vice President of Development for The HouReal Corporation where he was project manager for the development of more than 240 acres of raw land. Mr. Klein’s responsibilities included the construction of streets and utilities and the formation of Municipal Utility Districts. Upon completion of the infrastructure, Mr. Klein sold 80+ acres of mixed-use commercial land to investment builders such as Trammell Crow Co., Crow-Western Co., Health Care and Retirement Corporation of America, Southland Corporation and First Texas Savings Association.
In March of 1997, Mr. Klein merged his accounts with Henry S. Miller Commercial and joined the firm as Vice President. At Henry S. Miller, Mr. Klein completed more than 500 transactions, many of which were with national and regional clients such as Transpak, Premier Car Rental, Staff Force, Vexapak, Madewell, ENGY, Proportional Technologies, Crescent Directional Drilling, and many more.
In March 2001, Mr. Klein joined Colliers International as a listing specialist in commercial properties and automobile dealerships. Mr. Klein holds positions on the Colliers Life Sciences Steering Committee and the Colliers Automobile Retails Services Group (CARS) Steering Committee.
Since that time, Mr. Klein has sold more than 250 buildings and more than 2,000 acres of land to industrial users and developers. This is in addition to his leasing more than 2MM square feet of industrial space on behalf of tenants and landlords. Mr. Klein has also been involved in multiple investment sales having a cumulative value of more than $150MM.
Jason’s primary focus is on buying, selling and leasing supply chain properties throughout the greater Houston region. Prior to joining Colliers, Jason held various positions of increasing responsibility with Fluor, Halliburton, and Nalco Champion. His corporate experience enabled him to lead complex projects aimed at increasing revenues, decreasing costs, and maximizing supply chain efficiencies across global networks. His experience as a corporate real estate "user" has given him a unique perspective on the proper utilization and optimization of real estate assets, thus enabling his clients to take a strategic approach to their real estate portfolios.
Jason received his Masters of Business Administration from the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate from the University of South Carolina.
Mr. Taetz offers more than 36 years of experience with Colliers with a strong focus on industrial multi-modal transactions spanning a broad range of logistics projects including raw land site selection, high volume warehousing, manufacturing, rail car storage–in-transit, and development of barge fleeting facilities.
Prior to joining Colliers in 1986, Mike was employed as a construction manager with Brown & Root and, thereafter with the Trammell Crow Company. His knowledge of supply chain related facilities has benefited a variety of clients with their site selection process, leading to his involvement in more than 400 transactions, valued at over one billion dollars. Mr. Taetz became a Principal in the Houston office of Colliers in 1997.
Mr. Willis has worked with local developers to identify inner city industrial properties for redevelopment and has served as a tenant representative for multi-national companies looking to expand their distribution and manufacturing presence in Houston, the nation's fourth largest industrial market. He has completed more than 350 transactions in real estate totaling nearly $1 Billion in sales and lease values.
Prior to joining Colliers, Mr. Willis worked for Avison Young, a commercial real estate firm, representing clients in the buying, selling and leasing of real estate. Prior to his real estate brokerage career, he ran a successful small environmental services business that focused on industrial developments across Houston, implementing erosion control plans, landscape designs and installations for large institutional grade developers.
