I have the over 30 years of experience assisting clients with value based decisions. My valuations have addressed strategic acquisitions, provided for appropriate financing, facilitated leasing at market rates, proved development viability, and provided solutions including timely disposition, expropriation, compensation, tax mitigation and appeals and estate settlements. In the past I leased and sold a wide range of commercial and industrial properties in Metro Vancouver and thus have hands-on negotiation and transactional experience. I have acted as an agent for clients in significant Assessment Appeal Hearings, given evidence in BC Supreme Court and acted for court appointed receivers. My role at Colliers includes the appraisal of a wide range of commercial real estate in British Columbia with a specialization in industrial property. I currently share in the management responsibilities for our practice group.
As Head of Valuation & Advisory Services for Colliers Canada, Scott focuses on continually increasing revenue by identifying prime opportunities and establishing strategic relationships, as well as maximizing technology and Colliers International's exceptional platform to create greater efficiencies and market share for the team. He advocates for clients, helping them prove the value of their assets, and for the Valuation & Advisory Services team, empowering them to leverage Colliers’ brand, resources and scope to become the industry’s best.
Scott is a passionate communicator and strategist who is always willing to try something new and looking for ways to do things better.
James Glen has considerable experience in assisting clients with their real estate requirements for a wide range of property and project types. As an AACI, P.App. designated member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and a licensed salesperson, James Glen is well versed in all aspects of servicing clients’ real estate needs, specializing in the following areas:

- Strategic advisory services including scenario development and risk assessment; and
- Property sales including proposal and marketing material creation, pre-purchase due diligence, assistance with asset positioning, contract preparation and negotiation. James has participated in the sale of over $350 million in real estate during his career.
Aian works in valuation industry since 2003, working in Canada, Russia and Kazakhstan. During his work experience, he acquired a deep knowledge of the property valuation and international experience in commercial and residential real estate markets.
Throughout his work, Aian has developed extensive knowledge of valuation standards, management and client relationship.
Craig is a Senior Director in the Valuation and Advisory Services group at Colliers and holds the AACI, P.App designation. He offers appraisal and consulting services in the Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley area as well as throughout British Columbia with particualr focus on the following assets and services: Commercial Property, Industrial Property, Expropriation Valuation, Hospitality Property and Recreational Land, and Multi-Family Property.
Craig is the former Director of Market Intelligence for Canada as well as a real estate broker and appraiser with over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate with work experience is focused on providing strategic and transactional assistance to national real estate firms. With professional experience in real estate research, valuation, development, management, finance, consulting, and portfolio management roles he has worked with all major asset classes for valuation of both income producing real estate as well as expropriation, development projects. His client list includes firms in the finance, technology, aerospace, and logistical industries as well as real estate firms and has additional work experience providing ongoing economic knowledge, research, forecasting and review of the Canadian and international environment.
Elsie is based in the Vancouver office as an associate. She began her real estate valuation career in 2017 conducting residential appraisals in Alberta. She has since expanded her expertise to commercial property valuations, specializing in the following areas:
- Valuations of larger office, shopping centres, industrial properties, retail properties, residential properties, multifamily developments, portfolios, comprehensive development sites, vacant lands and development sites, as well as Highest and Best Use analysis and absorption analysis.
She joined Colliers Valuation & Advisory Services team as a valuation analyst in September 2020. Elsie is currently an AIC Candidate and working towards her AACI designation.
