Colliers EMEA experts prepared the report “Senior Living & Healthcare. A Growth Market.”
The relative merits, shortcomings and opportunities in the EMEA healthcare investment market have been under the microscope more than ever in the COVID-19 era. This has coincided with a raft of news on deals, funding and investment into the sector, which is 3.8% in Q1 2021 of all European investments. It should be noted that there is a growth trend compared to the previous five-year period (including 2020), where the average indicator was 2.3%.
EMEA experts noticed a long-term positive risk-reward balance for investors in more mature markets. This kind of assets and healthcare services are always in demand and a significant growth created by an aging population was predicted.
Regarding the situation in Ukraine, the trend of development and investment in the Senior Living sector is just emerging.
In turn, private medical institutions are focusing on expanding their networks in new cities of Ukraine with diversified services in order to maintain market position and competitiveness.
