Office costs in Europe fell by 1%, in the Netherlands they rose by 1%

The amount paid by companies in Europe for one full-time employee working in an office for a year has fallen by 1% to €9,695 on average. In the Netherlands, this cost has risen by 1% to €9,469, but this remains below the European average.

Minimal decline of facility costs expected

Although the average occupancy in Dutch offices fell to between 10% and 20% of the number of employees, we expect the NFC Index this year will only be 2% lower compared to 2019.

Office costs in Europe increased by 2%, in the Netherlands by 3%

The average costs in Europe for a full-time equivalent (fte) to work for a year in the office have increased by 2% and amounted to 9,763 euros. In the Netherlands, costs rose by 3% to 9,360 euros per fte.
