About Me
Assel has a Masters in Business Administration from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. Her prior work experience is in the Sports Industry - Assel was Marketing and Sponsorship Manager for the Football Federation of Kazakhstan and participated and presented in a range of seminars organised by the UEFA. Assel joined the Kazakh office of Locum Destination Consulting (part of Colliers International) in 2007 and, following completion of her MBA in Madrid, re-joined in 2009. In August 2010 Assel joined Colliers International’s specialised Hotels team in London. Within the Hotels team Assel carried out market and financial feasibility studies and valuations of hotels and resorts in the EMEA and CIS. In December 2012 Assel took up the business development role with Colliers Kazakhstan.
Through involvement in projects across countries in Europe, Asia and the CIS, Assel has developed a strong expertise in a variety of sectors including hotels, resorts, ecotourism parks, retail and mixed-use.
Assel successfully managed one of the largest portfolio valuation assignments in Kazakhstan for the merger of two largest banks in the country.
A number of large scale and high profile development projects successfully secured investments based on investment analysis and feasibility reports prepared by Assel.
