For 2020 Brexit was the leading concern however, Covid-19 took front and centre and indeed is set to do so for the short to medium term. When this pandemic, especially the implementation of national and international travel restrictions, is taken into consideration the Investment Market performed exceptionally well. Putting it into context on the 30th January 2020 the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of Covid-19 to be a Public Health Emergency of International Concern and issued a set of Temporary Recommendations. Covid-19 was then classified as a Pandemic in March.
