Robert Simpson

Rob is a Director and Chartered Building Surveyor with over 20 years industry experience in commercial Building Surveying and Project Management.

Specialising in Project Management and the Monitoring of retail, leisure and office developments or refurbishments, Rob is a trusted and valued advisor with many long-standing client relationships.

His collaborative approach results in a clear understanding of client’s objectives whilst his personal care and ownership of projects ensures consistent delivery. He is passionate about anticipating his client’s needs and exceeding expectations through exemplary service.

Rob is jointly responsible for Paragon’s Manchester and Leeds offices.

Rob was appointed as Director and jointly set up Paragon’s first regional office in Manchester in 2015. He subsequently opened the Leeds office in 2021.

He has been responsible for the management of key clients and maintains an active involvement in the delivery of instructions.

Prior to Paragon, Rob was an Associate Director at Colliers’ Leeds office from 2003 where he latterly was responsible for the day-to-day management of the team. Rob specialised in Out-of-Town Retail Project Management and was also the department’s Dilapidations Skill Head.

His experience includes Project Management and Contract Administration of refurbishment, alteration and new build schemes with particular experience in retail, office and leisure; Project Management of Cat A and Cat B office fit outs including full management of building contract and other suppliers (including furniture and IT); Pre-acquisition surveys of retail, office and industrial assets ranging from individual buildings to full estates; Party Wall and other neighbourly matters, acting as both Building and Adjoining Owner’s Surveyor and also Development Monitoring on behalf of occupiers, banks and pension funds on a range of commercial developments.
