Mike Brassington

Mike joined Colliers International in 2006 to provide advice on a wide range of mixed use development projects, primarily in the North West of England. Mike is a Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years of property experience.

Mike has the benefit of over 10 years' client side experience having been employed as Land Manager for both regional and national house builders where he gained experience in large scale site appraisals and acquisitions. Mike has also been a Director of a registered NHBC house builder focusing on private new build residential developments.

A significant proportion of Mike's work at Colliers International is focused around advising clients on the valuation, appraisal and disposal of various mixed use development opportunities. Mike's client side experience means that he is well placed to provide consultancy advice from a developer perspective, particularly when negotiating the disposal or acquisition of opportunities.

On behalf of Co-op & Manchester City Council - sole agent for the disposal of Angel Meadows (rebrand - Meadowside)  Manchester city centre to Far East Consortium (FEC) for over 750 residential apartments.

Trafford College Group - retained selling agent for the part disposal of Stockport (central) College achieving planning consent for 442 apartments and branded as Royal George Village with a GDV of over £90m.

Royal London Asset Management - Fulshaw Park, Wilmslow - disposal of 9 acres  on Alderley Road with planning consent for upto  60 dwellings.

FBD Insurance Plc - disposed of 5.5 acre site on Crown Street, Manchester city centre to Renaker Build Ltd. Several residential apartment towers under construction providing over 1,500 apartments.  

Chester West & Chester Council - disposing agent of former Council HQ premises at Backford Hall Estate of 23 acres for residential development
