Katie Perks-Beattie

I joined Colliers International in October 2014 providing specialist advice in the niche waste, energy and mineral sectors throughout the UK and internationally.  I specialise in providing valuation, agency, landlord & tenant and estate management advice.

I started my career in commercial property practice gaining broad property experience working in retail agency; lease consultancy and valuation concentrating predominantly in London and the South East.  I then focused my career on the specialist waste, energy and minerals sector developing my skills and experience.

Valuation experience includes loan security valuation for banks (including corporate recovery work), investment funds and a wide variety of operators; accounting valuations for occupiers, funds and Local Authorities; along with strategic property advice for occupiers, investors and banks.

I have been instrumental in growing the agency service at Colliers International for waste, energy and mineral related assets.  Working on behalf of Landlords and Occupiers providing acquisition and disposal advice for properties and businesses. Utilising innovative marketing tools and good working relationships with the trade journals ensure market exposure.

Landlord and Tenant instructions include rent reviews, lease renewals and providing initial lease advice for specialist properties where the deal structure can be complex.

In addition, I sit on the RICS Environment & Resources Professional Group Board, where I am involved in the preparation of professional guidance and information papers, reviewing and responding to consultation papers and draft legislation, advising on relevant professional standards and the promotion of professional work and interest of the Board in the sector.
