Adam Francis

Adam is a Director within the Accurates team at Colliers International. He has over 20 years experience of providing clients large and small with forensic audit and examination of historic business rates and council tax records back to 1990 identifying rating errors and overpayments for clients.

He started his career with Goodman Nash Ltd in 2001 as a Business Rates Auditor and was promoted to Director of Audit  in 2014. He joined the Accurates Rating Team at Colliers in 2017 and he is a member of the IRRV (Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation)

• Auditing historical valuations and reclaim overpaid business rates

• Challenging business rates valuation

• Managing business rate accounts

Personal Accomplishments:

• Personally saved clients over £18million since joining Colliers.

•  Identification of a new recovery type which led to the recovery of mandatory relief in excess of £2.7 million for the housing sector. 

• Led a team of four auditors to recover in excess of £4.6 million in overpaid Business Rates for a well-known high street Bank and a major supermarket chain over a two year period.  

• Project managed the implementation of a new initiative recovery, that secured in excess of £650k in fees with estimated forecasts expecting the initiative to generate £3 million in fees over a four year period. 

• Having ultimate responsibility for authorising rate payments in 2017 worth a £192 million per annum
