Jody’s strong work ethic, attention to detail, and aptitude to quickly learn the downtown Calgary office market along with over 40 years of his team’s experience in office leasing, has enabled him to be one of the top emerging commercial real estate advisors in Canada.

Jody focuses on working with a diverse set of companies and industries ranging in size from 2,000 – 30,000 square feet and has assisted in new lease/sublease, renewal, relocation, expansion and subletting assignments throughout his tenure. Jody is passionate about Alberta’s technology sector and has carved a niche in working with growing technology companies in the startup/early-stage growth phase. By taking the time to intimately understand his client’s needs, Jody has successfully assisted several technology companies to scale their business by implementing leasing mechanisms that allow for relentless growth opportunities on the very best financial terms. 

Jody specializes in Calgary’s downtown office leasing market with a focus on tenant representation. Jody and his team consisting of Jim Rea, Todd Sutcliffe, and Craig Hulsman lead the highest producing team in the downtown Calgary office market and have successfully completed over 400 transactions in the past 4 years totaling 3.5 million square feet.

Prior to joining Colliers, Jody earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Real Estate at the University of Calgary. Jody was an active leader in the real estate program, serving as the Vice President of the Real Estate Students Association and received several awards including the Brookfield Building Leaders Scholarship, CREB Undergraduate Real Estate Scholarship, and Randy Ferguson Award in Real Estate studies. Jody also placed first at the 2019 Undergraduate Real Estate Case Competition which hosted over 20 premiere universities across North America and is designed to attract a collection of the brightest, most proactive minds in the real estate industry.
